13th November 2008
Our last full day of
activities and it has poured with rain all day!
Despite this (and we can't really complain about our fortunes
with the weather this week) we have been rock climbing,
mountain biking, rock pooling and working on our conservation
project for the John Muir Award (building camp fires, making
bramble hedges and cutting down non-native trees).
The children are all
now upstairs packing for our return tomorrow. They HAVE
been instructed on what packing means but we cannot guarantee
what state bags will be in!
"I wish it was
Monday again" (Year 6 girl).
It has been a very exciting, challenging, exhausting, interesting,
informative and FUN week.
We
shall see you all tomorrow (approx 4.30pm).

Well,
we are at last managing to tire them all out and all was
quiet by 9.54pm last night! Getting up this morning at 7.30am
was more of a challenge!
All are having a great time ("Can we stay two weeks
please?") and all are remaining perfect ambassadors
for KSM.
Groups have been rock climbing, canoeing, rock pooling,
pond dipping and mountain biking today. And yes, both Miss
Cornelius and Miss Waterfield have been on the climb and
in the canoe!
Off on a night walk tonight and orienteering tomorrow.

Tuesday
11th November 2008
A
very full and exciting day. We have been rock climbing,
canoeing and rock pooling at the beach. The weather is fine
- windy and cold, but sunny. The food is great. Everyone
was asleep by 11 last night - here's hoping for 9 tonight!
We have finished supper and are off swimming - in
the heated, indoor pool, not the lakes - after we have written
our diaries.
Quote of the week so far -
'This is the most exciting day of my life!' (Y5 boy)
